Metro district Conference
October 14-16, 2019

Ministry and Life in the Spirit.

As a Metro District family, this is our first core value. Everything we are and everything we do flows from the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus commanded the disciples to wait for the Spirit who would empower their ministry to do greater things than even Jesus had done. We desire to be a family of churches in the Metro District who are marked by the Spirit,
live in the Spirit and walk with the Spirit.

If we live in the Spirit, Let us also
walk by the Spirit.
- Galatians 5:25

Seminar Options

Practicing Comtemplative Spirituality

Pastor Rich Villodas
Do you want to listen more to the Holy Spirit? Have you struggled to practice the rhythms of sabbath, silence and solitude in your life with God? Come learn practices of contemplative spirituality that prepare you to slow down and listen closer to the Spirit’s quiet whispers.

The Holy Spirit & Spiritual Warfare

Dr. Ingrid Davis
Even if you are fully equipped with the armor of God, do you know how to use the sword of the Spirit to fight against the enemy? Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that the fight for the lives, families and communities of our church is a spiritual battle. Come learn how to partner with the Holy Spirit for spiritual warfare and authority over evil powers and principalities.

Social Architecture & Spirit-Led leadership

Dr. Martin Sanders & Dr. Tim Meier
As leaders, so often we try to reproduce programs and models duplicated from others. We assume we can keep doing the same things and see new results. By intentionally creating environments around us we can facilitate reproducible and sustainable models for change. As spirit-led leaders, we examine social architecture, helping us design environments for effective leadership through change. Discover ways to lead in the next phase of your organizational development (church, ministry, etc.) listening to the Spirit’s voice and imagining what could be around you.

Rev. Charles Galbreath
Kingdom justice and mercy is not just a social work of the people. It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to bring the reconciling power of the Gospel into all communities, institutions and divisions of society. Each day we are invited to join the Holy Spirit in his work to bring the Kingdom of Heaven on earth as it is in Heaven. Come learn how to partner with the Holy Spirit in bringing Kingdom justice and mercy to your community.
